Little Cat Feet

Idiot

I was walking around outside with mom the other day and a neighbor man was driving by in his car and he yells out "I think that cat needs to go on a diet, don't you?!!"
Well of all the insulting things!
Yes, at 18 pounds I am big boned and floofy and I know I need to lose a little. (ok, more than a little) but of all the rude, inconsiderate things to yell out! He really pissed mom off too!
I think I'm gonna call my friend Fat Eric from Across The Pond and all the other generously endowed blogosphere cats and we're gonna go poop on his pillow and tear up that garden he is so proud of! Then we'll go pee by his front door so he can remember us every time he goes outside, Mmmmmm. Mmmmmm. What an enchanting scent.
Creep.

On the Loose

We get to go outside in our harnesses attached to a 10 foot leash that stakes into the ground.
Mom went into the house to get her book and got distracted by stuff and forgot that I was outside.
Well, I managed to somehow wiggle the leash off the stake and took a wander over to check out the neighbors pretty garden. I've wanted to get into that garden all summer and I finally got my chance!
Oh the glorious butterflies and other buggies to to swat and chase!
And then I got that stoopid leash wrapped around a garden gnome & a flowering bush and thats how mom found me.
She said I was lucky that I was dragging that leash or I could have kept on going and gotted lost and her heart would have broken. That would be terrible but that adventure was sure fun while it lasted.

Cat Poo in the Corner

SS&S's Mom gets to blog today:
Dad found 10 cat poops in the far end of the basement yesterday!
We hardly ever go back there but went to check the circuit breakers for the a/c and discovered someones secret dumping ground.
My suspect is Scooby.
Scout will often wait outside the door to the laundry room where the litter boxes are and pounce him after he comes out from doing his business and chase him up the stairs with lots of growling & hissing from Scooby.
I've read that is that kind of thing happens where one cat picks on another like that the other cat will often seek out a more private place and go where he won't be bothered.
I have 3 litter boxes in the laundry room, one upstairs in a spare bedroom. So after cleaning up the "secret stash" in the corner I put a litter box there too.
And I found another poop on the rug back there again this morning.
Help! Any suggestions?????

First Day of Summer

Hi Gang!
We are posting from dad's laptop today.
Dad is an engineer and he has been running tests & junk on our computer trying to get it to go again, but it is very sporadic that it signs on and then it freezes after a few minutes of use, if we get past the password screen. Usually it won't go that far. Dad thinks it is the power supply gone bad. He told mom that she can probably have his laptop and he will get a new one for himself!

In other news today is our Mom & Dad's 27th wedding anniversary! They are going out to dinner to celebrate! We think they should just stay home and eat Temptations. Now that's a celebration!

Our Computer Died

We won't be posting for awhile.
Mom's laptop died and she needs to take it in
for the geeks to look at it and see if it's repairable.
Right now it doesn't look good.
Mom is already having withdrawals.

The Watering Hole

Here we are in the only place we get along.
We both like to drink from the tap so we pretty much take turns here. That is, Scout shoves his way in front of me and I have to wait my turn until he is done. Even if I was there first. He's a pushy little devil.
Sometimes I growl & thwack his head, but then he bites my tail and goes first anyway.
Give him credit though. When he is done he jumps down and gets out of my way so I get it all to myself and can drink in peace.
-Scooby
PS: I am feeling much better now too.

Happy Birthday Shaggy & Scooby

Today we are 7.
Even though we don't look like it, we are brothers from the very same litter.
We've always been together and always will be thanks to mom adopting us together from a friend of a co-worker who was moving overseas.
We have been here almost 4 years and mom tells us every day how happy she is we came to live with her.
We are happy we live here too. Stinky goodness, great places to nap, big windows to look out at the wildlife and all the love we could ever ask for.
We posted this picture again because Mom says it is her very favorite of the two of us together.
