Dad's Gone for a Week
OK.
Dad is leaving tomorrow for a golf vacation in Nevada with his Men's Club buddies from the golf course.
Then from there he is going to San Diego for a few days to check up on something for his work. And he's just going to happen to have his clubs with him there too.
He'll be gone for an entire week.
So we'll be home taking care of Mom.
What can we do to keep her entertained?

ThoE! Daytime only.
Cuddle at night and purr in unison to send her to sleep.
Play, play, play with catnip -- catnip whatever you have.
Steal food off her plate.
Don't worry. You'll think of lots of things to entertain her.
Take turns sitting on her and purring.
I think you guys need to get on the Internets and order a bunch of toys so you can all play!
I know you'll think of something!!
Oh, we think she should be entertained by petting you, and giving you treats and just paying attention to you all the time...that should keep her purrty busy all week...
Find toys around the house an carry them to her ta toss fer hours. The Beins love it when we do that.
Attack the laces on her shoos when she tries ta walk around.
Sit on the noospaper (or book or anything she trues ta read). Then roll over an offer a tummy ta be scratched. They allus fall fer that.
Wait til she falls asleep an then curl up against knees, back or tummy. That warms them up so much they wake up an scratch ya. That gives her something ta do.
Steal jus a little bit of food from her plate an then run away. It shows ya approve of her food, and it might get ya fed extra cat food too.
Oh, 3 a.m. concertos, for sure. And nightly games of THoE. That's a must.
My favorite, though? Play Squish The Face a couple times a night. People are very amused by this, especially just before and just after the concert.
Snuggles and cuddles are always a very good tactic.
We hope your dad has a great and safe trip!
We suggest you guys take lots of naps with your mom and make her feel nice and relaxed!
Snuggles and cuddles are always good for helping keep The Mom types occupied. My personal favorite (and I did this just last night) is wait until it's dark and then walk up to a closed door and stare at it. It totally freaks them out. heh heh

Can I send the human male with him? He golfs and that would stop him from annoying me for a few days...
I highly recommend making a mess so she has something to clean up because someone has to take up the slack from your Dad being gone. And I think Shaggy looks just right in his little bed.
