Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Remember Patches??

Remember us posting about mom taking care of her friends' cat Patches last weekend?
Well Patches' mom, Mary Kay, came home from her trip Sunday afternoon, then Monday morning she fell on her driveway while getting her paper. Bad news! She fractured her pelvis! (She is 70.) She was in the hospital until yesterday evening and now is in a care facility getting physical therapy. We don't know how long she will be there. So mom is continuing to take care of Patches.
Mary Kay's daughters say they are not going to allow her to live alone anymore, since she's fallen before but with no breakage. It will take a lot of work to get her current place in saleable condition. Mary Kay wants to go to a place where they allow pets, but our Mom said if she needs a place for Patches while they are trying to sell or a new home for him if she can't take him with her......he will come to live with us!

1) Guys, you may not fully appreciate it in this situation, but your Momma has a big heart.
2) I hope Patches human recovers fully and gets to keep him wherever she goes. Kitties like being with their furever human best.
3) As God is my witness...that is *exactly our kitchen linoleum pattern. Patches must have a good home.

We hope Patches mum makes a good recovery. Your mum is very kind to look after him and offer him a home if he needs it.

There are places in the city that allow pets for the elderly. Hope your friend finds a good one, and poor Patches gets to stay with her mom.

I am sure that Patches Mommie will heal better knowing that her baby is being taken care of. Your Mom is an angel.

Oh dear! That is awful for your mom's friend. We hope she can find a new place with Patches, too--leaving you kidlet can never be a fun thing. :-(

That is awful for your human's friend, but it is good to know that Patches will be okay regardless.

Oh man I'm really sorry for your neighbor! That's gotta HURT. But it probably helps her a whole lot knowing that Patches has a safe place to stay if needed and someone to watch him. Your mom is aces!
