Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Scout Got Out!

Scout snuck out around the cable guys legs as he was going in & out, in & out of our house last night!
Mom was lying down 'cause she's weak from being sick.
About 1/2 hour after he left a neighbor kid from 2 doors down rang the bell to ask if we were missing a cat. Mom said she didn't think so but went to look anyway, and sure enough it was Scout! He was frolicking under some pine trees.
She forgot to shut us in another room while Dad was dealing with the repairman.
He got tons of smooches and mom says she doesn't know how she could go on if she didn't have her Scoutie.

Scout, don't scare your Mom like that again! It's dangerous to be out there alone.

How scary, Scout! I bet that didn't help with your mom's recovery, getting her all worried and upset like that. I'm sure you had fun but don't do it again.

Scout, I don't think it was a good idea to escape outside, but I was wondering, is it fun to frolic under pine trees???

Mr. Scout,

It is NOT ok to scare me like that. Please prepare to be pounced in retaliation.

Thank goodness for neighbor kids. We are glad he was just playing in the neighborhood and hadn't run off further.

Tavi got out one time and Mom couldn't find him for about 8 hours - she was in tears by the time he decided to show himself.
