Little Cat Feet
"The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over the harbor and city on silent haunches, and then, moves on." - Carl Sandburg

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

our grammie has had lots and lots of them (she has colon cancer). Mommy says that the medi-k-shuns you has to take before are ucky. grammie says the procedure is uncomfortable but not painful. Tell your mom to get lots of rest before (even though the medi-k-shuns might make that hard)and get lots and lots of rest after and don't do anything to strenuous when you gets home.
Good Luck SSSMom!!!! we will purr for you!
My Mommie has not had that, but I hope all goes well and I hope she is not too nervous about the procedure.
Our Auntie E just had one in January. She said it was just uncomfortable but honestly she woke up from the "nap" and felt nicely rested. She was supposed to rest for the rest of the day but she's in brad-skol so she had to go to class and was fine.
Kaze
Mum says she had one. The prep with the pills and such is the worst part.
Mum says she slept through the rest as they gave her sleeping juice. She says it didn't bother her a bit. She was back home before noon and went back to work the next day.
Um, our Big Thing says "when someone can aktally drag me kicking an screaming"...
He says they gotta figure a better way to learn what that test does afore he agrees to such a test.
We remind him of that attitude when WE gotta go to the stabby place, but he says "That's why I aint nobody's pet".
Hmmm...
My dad had one and everyone's right: the prep is the worst part. He liked the falling asleep part.
As everyone else has said, the prep is the worst part. Vaseline can help on the parts that might get raw during the prep.
We will purr for your mom!
I've heard the same as what the meezers said. That the stuff you drink before is really the worst part of it. Everyone gets worried about the procedure but it's not so bad.
I think I will laugh at the human male when he gets his set up... he he he.
Scooby, Shaggy and Scout,
The main thing you need to tell your mom (after you tell her you love her) is that she should leave lots of crunchies in your supper dish before she gets the procedure done because afterward she will be kind of zoned out. Our mom forgot out supper after hers and just fell asleep for all night! We could have starved! My mom says it's gonna be o.k. though even though it's not a very pleasant experience...if her gastroenterologist gives her good drugs she will feel sort of semisleepy the whole time and not feel any pain during the procedure. Now, the day before have your mom by the softest TP she can find cuz she's gonna want that. One final thing that may make your mom laugh...a friend of my mom's said that when the doctor told her she could only have clear liquids after a certain hour she said "Oh good, I'll go buy a bottle of vodka!" P.S. Don't really do that.
Lots of love,
Shilgiah, Tommy and their Mom
Oh, just have your Mommy call our Mommy. She has had ten of those things done.
Love, The Taylor CatSSSSS
Really the test is not bad, but the night before is not fun. Seriously, please feel free to give me a call or email:

My mom's sister had two words: baby wipes.
Mom agrees with everybody. The night before is terrible. Make sure nobody else needs the human litterbox room. Mom says baby wipes, YES! Mom says during that time wear loose clothing. And she says make sure somebody takes you to the test, and drives you home afterward. And she says afterward, just take a nap. And bananas are good to eat first thing afterwards.
Mom says good luck.
we asked our Mom and she said she has not had this done but wants to wish your Mom good luck and happy no findings. We guess your Mom will know what this means????? ~The FLuffy TRibe
WE all hopes that you are resting comfortably today...we have heard it is not bad at all, that the prep is the worst part...
We're thinking of you...
