Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

My V-E-T Check-up

I had my check-up with Dr. Rich last week. Mom always makes sure we get one for a birthday present. Well, I turned 3 and found myself at the vets. Of course I cried in the carrier all the way, which is about 3 minutes, but they are 3 LONG minutes.
Anyhow, after I slunk out of the carrier and got over being nervous I jumped up on the counter and explored.
Mom was worried that I had a cold because I was sneezing. But Dr. Rich took my temperature (you know where) and I was normal. He thought it could be allergies. I'm done sneezing this week anyway.
Dr. Rich squeezed and pinched and listened and said I'm a very healthy mancat. I gained a pound and now weigh 13 pounds and he said he'd like to see me stay there & not gain more. And my teeth look great! Then a lady wearing pajamas came in and gave me a shot, but I don't think I felt it, I didn't even flinch.
When it was time to go......I got a greenies treat!

Up until you got the Greenies I was thinking that wasn't the best birthday gift, but then the Greenies made up for it, I'm sure. You're such a big three-year-old mancat. Can't believe it's been three fast years!

I left you an award today. (http://jaspermckittencat.blogspot.com/2008/09/thankful-thursday.html)

That is a terrible birthday present. Terrorizing you like that. Well, except for the greeny treat. But shooting some kitty on their birthday?

Have you explained to your mom a more proper and appreciated present would be an all you can eat fish/ham/turkey/etc buffet? And she still took you to the vet? We'd trade her in, if she were ours.

What? No, you don't want Jan. She doesn't pay attention to what we say either.
