Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Digging Out

Storm's over today.
The sun is out and is it ever bright, shining off the new snow. But still cold. 15 degrees in our yard this morning.
It was a heavy, wet snow. Very hard for the people to move it to dig out the driveway. Our beans don't have a snowblower, so they shovel the old fashioned way. Then just when they get done shoveling, the city snowplow comes by in the street & the beans have to dig out the end of the driveway again. Only you cats in snow places know about that!
Some cats have been telling us about silly hats their beans wear out in the cold. Fat Eric says his mum has a truly embarassing one she wears and William says his mom has one that makes her look like a conehead. They wear those on purpose, you know. Just to embarrass us.

Troll goes out in a purple hat with pompoms on it. The life of a cat can be really hard.

Oh! That snowplow is how I learned lots of colorful words! ALL the tall People on the street we lived on in Ohio used them every time the snowplow came!

our mommy does not wear a hat in the cold weather, 'acause she doesn't want "hat hair" whatever that is. no, she just goes outside and then her face and ears get all red and when she comes inside, she puts her face on ours. now that's just mean.

My Momma doesn't have funny hats but she has this funny short pants. I have never seen so many colors on my humans short pants. IT's embarrassing. We only have one color, maybe two. Why would she want to have dozens of colors? The indignity...thank goodness we are cats, we know about dignity.
